• Participating actively in the data engineering community, you’ll deliver opportunities to support the bank’s strategic direction while building your network across the bank What you'll do As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving value for our customers by building data solutions. You’ll be carrying out data engineering tasks to build, maintain, test and optimise a scalable data architecture, as well as carrying out data extractions, transforming data to make it usable to data analysts and scientists, and loading data into data platforms. You’ll also be:
• Developing comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s data structures and metrics, advocating change where needed for product development
• Practicing DevOps adoption in the delivery of data engineering, proactively performing root cause analysis and resolving issues
• Collaborating closely with core technology and architecture teams in the bank to build data knowledge and data solutions
• Developing a clear understanding of data platform cost levers to build cost effective and strategic solutions
• Sourcing new data using the most appropriate tooling and integrating it into the overall solution to deliver for our customers The skills you'll need To be successful in this role, you’ll need a strong understanding of how data is used across teams and by end customers, with experience of extracting value and features from large scale datasets. You’ll also have expertise in data integration, transformation, and orchestration within the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) environment, combined with strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. You’ll also demonstrate deep technical expertise in :
• Entity Resolution, including fuzzy matching, deterministic matching and machine learning-based matching techniques to identify and link records across multiple data sources
• Designing and delivering data ingestion and integration solutions using Informatica IDMC, including Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration, APIs and real-time or batch processing patterns
• Configuring and managing match rules, survivorship rules and clustering logic, while integrating Entity Resolution with Data Quality and downstream applications
• Implementing data quality frameworks to improve data accuracy, consistency and completeness before data is consumed by downstream systems
• ETL solution design, data quality testing, data cleansing, monitoring, data warehousing and data modelling
• Modern software and data engineering practices, including programming languages, secure and scalable development approaches, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Hours 35 Job Posting Closing Date: 23/09/2026 Ways of Working:Hybrid
