Our ambition is to build the world’s leading movement-and-rewards platform, scaling globally while using technology, data, and smart incentives to drive lasting behavior change and wellbeing at scale. 🎯 About the role Seniority level: Apprenticeship / Junior — no professional experience required, strong interest in backend engineering and eagerness to learn on a large-scale system Context of the search: WeWard is entering an exciting new phase of growth, evolving far beyond a simple step counter with several ambitious initiatives on the horizon.

You’ll be joining the Monetization squad, where you’ll play a key role in building our game offerwall provider mediation engine. You will report to Ivan, our Engineering Manager on the Monetization squad. M ain missions (day-to-day): Contribute to developing reliable, maintainable backend code (APIs, scripts, processing), pairing with senior engineers Take part in A/B tests to measure the impact of shipped features Contribute to end-to-end projects, with support on scoping and production release

Build skills in code optimization and identifying bottlenecks Tech stack: Mainly Python (Flask) and Postgres — the drive to learn how to design scalable architecture matters more than prior mastery of a specific language.

Expectations for the role: Genuine technical curiosity and eagerness to learn on a large-scale product Growing autonomy, with rigor in the code you produce Ability to ask questions, challenge ideas, and propose new ones (Test & Learn mindset) Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with PMs and other engineers in the squad Currently enrolled in a relevant program (engineering school, computer science, or equivalent) on an apprenticeship track Why this role is particularly great: Accelerated learning on a large-scale consumer product (30M+ users) — rare for an apprenticeship Real autonomy and

responsibility from day one, with close mentorship (Valentin + Monetization squad) Test & Learn culture: 10+ production deployments a week, direct exposure to the impact of your work Great working conditions: office in central Paris, 2 days of remote work per week, learning & dev budget
