La position Roche’s demanding and changing Small Molecules, Bio and Cell & Gene Therapy product portfolio requires shaping the manufacturing network of the future, driving global investments across different production sites. As an integral part of part of Pharma Technical Operations (PT), PT Global MSAT, Engineering and Sustainability (PTT) plays a key role in leading a seamless industrialization and thorough technical product management through integrating SHE, proactive maintenance, facility fitness, performance optimization and scalable manufacturing processes and technologies in support of the manufacturing network.

Product and process robustness, efficiency and reliability are key performance indicators, PTT owns and drives continuous improvement. As a senior matrix leader within PTT, the Packaging Technology Strategy Project Leader acts as a primary architect for the industrialization and long-term management of Roche’s technology portfolio. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between innovative technology development and global manufacturing excellence, ensuring that the manufacturing networks remain robust, efficient, and scalable.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Technology Strategy and Standards, you lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to develop and implement technology strategies and roadmaps that enable the realization of our pipeline and the stable supply of marketed products.

  • Lead the development of the strategic technological roadmap for Finished Goods/packaging technologies, focusing on technical innovation and alignment with PT's long-term business objectives.
  • Interface with Pharma Technical Development, global MSAT, Engineering and Site Manufacturing teams to ensure technical innovations are aligned with global product & technology strategy and that network standards are consistently met.
  • Together with the asset lifecycle management team, define the technology lifecycle and identify critical milestones for re-evaluating standards to reflect evolving business and operational needs.
  • Represent the technological needs of the Packaging network in senior stakeholder interactions and key technical governance forums such as the Technology Portfolio Committee and One PT Board.
  • Identify and assess technological innovations, translating them into actionable projects that improve product and process robustness, manufacturability, and sustainability, and o versee a complex portfolio of strategic projects aimed at delivering systematic efficiency gains and achieving supply chain resilience across the organization.
  • Lead the concept and pilot of significant new packaging technology selections towards the definition of technology standards by evaluating feasibility, scalability, and implementation readiness.

Support the scaling of those technology standards as needed. - Provide strong leadership in monitoring and ensuring adherence to technological standards across the finished goods networks, c hampion a culture of innovation, lean manufacturing, and productivity enhancements globally, and a ct as a senior coach for technical team members across Global MSAT, engineering and site teams, fostering growth in emerging technologies and advanced leadership skills.

Who you are You are a recognized expert in manufacturing technologies, driving the evaluation and selection of novel solutions, using competitive intelligence, portfolio and user needs as guidance. - BS/MS/PhD in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or Life Sciences is required with 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in process development, industrialization, manufacturing equipment development, or manufacturing operations within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. - Extensive experience in matrix leadership and leading senior-level cross-functional teams to deliver aligned network

technical solutions. - Company-wide acknowledged expert in manufacturing and/or packaging technologies and standardization and i n-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems and ICH guidelines pertinent to biologics process development and validation. - Strategic Thinking: Advanced ability to challenge the status quo, develop new approaches to complex problems, and influence senior leaders to adopt different points of view. - Communication: Excellent communication and synthesis skills, with the ability to summarize complex issues to expedite agreements and decision-making.

  • BS/MS/PhD en Chemical/Biochemical Engineering ou Life Sciences
  • Expérience en leadership matriciel
  • Expertise en manufacturing et/ou packaging technologies
  • Connaissance des systèmes qualité pharmaceutiques et des directives ICH
  • Excellentes compétences de communication et de synthèse
