About the Role We are seeking a Business Analyst Intern to join the French Portfolio Finance team. Within the Gold BU – Portfolio Finance team, the French Portfolio Finance team is is responsible for the long-term demand sales forecast, brand performance and revenue growth of Pernod Ricard brands in the cognac, champagne and rosé categories.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • Build, update, and optimize performance dashboards (sales, profitability, A&P, portfolio mix).
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support decisions related to pricing, innovation, allocation, and market activation.
  • Assist on European subsidies process (with our team and the markets)
  • Identify and explain variances between forecasts, targets, and actuals, and contribute insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly business reviews and presentations for top management. Strategic Forecasting
  • Contribute to the annual and quarterly forecasting processes (volume, value, mix, market performance).
  • Support the development of strategic scenarios.
  • Analyze consumption trends, category dynamics, market evolution, and competitive signals to consolidate forecast assumptions.
  • Maintain, improve, and document internal forecasting tools (Excel, Power BI). Market and Competitive Insights
  • Monitor category trends, competitor initiatives, and market evolution.
  • Provide relevant insights and benchmarking to support strategic discussions.
  • Participate in deep‑dive analyses on portfolio rationalization, performance drivers, or market opportunities. Profile
  • Student in a Business School, Engineering School, or University (Master 1 or Master 2).
  • A first experience in business analysis, controlling, finance or audit is appreciated.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and interest in data‑driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI or another BI tool is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly.
