As part of our team, the Associate will work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: activism and M&A defense; sell-side and buyside M&A engagements, divestitures and spin-off engagements; special committee engagements; and, more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives. The Associate will work in a team environment within Evercore’s global Strategic, Defense, and Shareholder Advisory practice. Specific

Candidates should ideally have prior investment banking experience, a strong interest in activism defense, as well as the ability to think broadly about a range of issues confronting our firm’s clients. The Associate will be ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful. Knowledge of accounting, finance, valuation and business strategy is a must, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities for an Associate include collaborating with clients to resolve complex financial and strategic issues, leading and executing live deal situations, drafting client presentation materials, assisting with new business development, and managing Analysts.
