About the Role: As a Quant Developer within the team, you will play a key role in the architecture, development, and maintenance of our Python-based valuation platform. You will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality software solutions that support the valuation and risk management of financial instruments. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong Python software engineering skills, experience working with complex codebases, and an appreciation of the quantitative models that underpin financial applications.
What your days will look like:
- Maintaining and extending an existing Python codebase.
- Designing, developing, and delivering new application features and services.
- Implementing and integrating quantitative valuation and risk models.
- Improving system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Enhancing user interfaces and developer tooling.
- Maintaining and extending a RESTful API server application.
- Supporting the integration of internally developed and third-party models, including AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
- Driving software architecture, design decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
This role is for you if:
- You have advanced Python software engineering experience gained in industry or academia.
- You have experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production-quality software.
- You are confident working with large, complex codebases.
- You have a strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- You have experience with Git, Unix/Linux environments, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- You understand mathematical or quantitative models and can work effectively with domain specialists to implement and support them.
- You hold an advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
