Research Scientist, Frontier AI, DeepMind

Minimum

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience leading a research agenda.
• Experience in deep learning and experience with Python and neural network training.
• Experience training, evaluating, and interpreting large multimodal models and large language models.
• A publication record in machine learning conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, ECCV). Preferred

As a Research Scientist, you will utilize experience in foundational research, to expand the frontiers of artificial intelligence including driving the development of next-generation foundational AI architectures and frontier models. This will involve close collaboration with research scientists and software engineers across the globe, working to create AI models capable of integrating and reasoning across diverse modalities. You will work collaboratively to manage fundamental challenges in machine learning and AI, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
