As part of an exciting expansion of our International Value & Access organization, we are currently seeking two exceptional leaders to join our team as Executive Director, International Value & Access, Immunology.
In this role, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of the Immunology Value & Access organization across the Research, Development, and Commercial continuum, ensuring that Novartis therapies achieve optimal patient access and sustainable value. Reporting to the Head Access Immunology International, you will partner closely with Commercial Launch Strategy teams, Medical Affairs, Development, Biomedical Research, Regions, and priority country teams to develop transformative access strategies that maximize the value of Novartis assets across diverse payer and healthcare environments.
This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to influence evidence generation, pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies from early development through launch and lifecycle management, while strengthening Value & Access capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Immunology Value & Access organization and provide strategic leadership across the global access community. - Shape and execute integrated product access strategies across the Research, Development, and Commercial continuum. - Partner with Medical Affairs, Development, Biomedical Research, and Commercial teams to strengthen value propositions. - Champion innovative access strategies that improve patient access and deliver value for healthcare systems. - Define payer evidence requirements and ensure access needs are embedded in development and commercialization plans. - Develop global pricing and payer negotiation strategies in partnership with Commercial Launch Strategy and Pricing teams. - Create innovative access solutions, contracting approaches, Managed Entry Agreements, and Patient Support Programs. - Ensure robust value evidence packages support successful launches, reimbursement, and long-term asset maximization. - Drive access excellence by identifying market opportunities, mitigating reimbursement risks, and advancing access capabilities. - Attract, develop, coach, and retain top Value & Access talent while strengthening organizational capabilities globally. Requirements
- Advanced degree such as a Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Philosophy, Medical Doctor, Registered Pharmacist, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Market Access within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Significant above-country, regional, or global Value & Access experience within a multinational environment.
- Experience influencing asset strategy early in the drug development lifecycle.
- Proven product launch experience, including reimbursement and market access planning.
- Experience leading complex global access strategies across diverse healthcare and payer systems.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and matrix influencing experience across multiple senior stakeholders.
- Experience shaping commercial strategy through Value & Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, pricing, or reimbursement expertise.
- Proficient English, both written and spoken. Desirable
