Description de l’offre
Your team Pictet Wealth Management combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The Partner-owned financial service group offers a comprehensive service for wealthy individuals and families including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services. We are looking for a Fund Analyst to join our cross-asset Funds Research & Advisory team, covering the Global Equity and Fixed Income pod with an extended remit into Liquid Alternatives.
This is an opportunity to work within a T-shaped analyst model — developing deep expertise in your core asset classes while contributing to cross-pod initiatives, governance frameworks, and firm-wide manager research output. You will play a key role in fund selection, manager due diligence, and portfolio construction support, feeding directly into our Approved and Focus List governance process.
Your role
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on Global Equity and Fixed Income funds, with additional coverage of Liquid Alternatives strategies (equity long/short, global macro, multi-strategy, market neutral, relative value).
- Maintain and update fund ratings, ensuring alignment with the fund research governance.
- Prepare manager meeting notes, due diligence reports, and recommendations for Approved/Focus List reviews and Discretionary PMs.
- Monitor fund performance, risk characteristics, and portfolio positioning against stated mandates and peer groups.
- Support the Funds Advisory function and Discretionary Mandates by translating research views into actionable guidance for the front office.
- Contribute to thematic research pieces and quarterly manager survey presentations as well as requests.
- Liaise directly with fund management companies (portfolio managers, product specialists) on strategy updates, liquidity terms, and operational due diligence points.
- Support regulatory and cross-border fund considerations (UCITS, AIFMD) relevant to fund selection and distribution.
- Deputise for pod colleagues as needed and contribute to cross-pod knowledge sharing.
Your profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field CFA (or progress toward), CAIA a plus given Liquid Alternatives focus.
- At least ten years 10 years in fund research, manager selection, or fund analyst role within a private bank, asset manager, fund-of-funds, or investment consultancy.
- Demonstrated experience covering Liquid Alternatives strategies (hedge fund style, UCITS-wrapped or offshore) alongside traditional long-only equity and/or fixed income funds.
- Solid understanding of the fund management business — how asset managers are structured, fee models, distribution channels, and operational due diligence considerations.
- Familiarity with fund governance frameworks (rating systems, approved lists, investment committees) is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English; French a strong asset given client and internal stakeholder base.
- Strong quantitative due diligence skills: performance attribution, risk decomposition, factor analysis.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (UCITS, AIFMD; Swiss LPCC/LSFin knowledge a plus).
- Comfortable with fund research tools/databases (e.g., Morningstar Direct, Factset, Bloomberg).
- Advanced Excel; PowerPoint proficiency for client- and committee-facing materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to distill complex fund analysis into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable engaging directly with fund managers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work within a pod structure and contribute beyond a single asset class silo.
- Must be resident in Switzerland with a valid work permit. Note We will not accept any CVs via agencies Diversity & Inclusion Pictet is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment. We respect all individuals and seek their inclusion in the workplace.
