Senior Software Engineer (Edinburgh, GB)

Contract type: Permanent Location: Alderley Park Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based Closing date: 17th September 2026 We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join Royal London’s Digital Area. In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to help design, develop, test and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business and customer needs. About the role You’ll design and develop digital solutions that meet business and customer requirements.

You’ll deliver complex changes within your technical area, including assessing impacts on existing applications. You’ll document and agree designs in advance, working to agreed standards and ways of working closely with architecture and other teams to design the best solutions. You’ll collaborate with the wider team, contribute ideas, and review others’ work to improve overall quality.

• You’ll bring strong technical knowledge in .Net (C#) with experience of Azure, Typescript or Angular being an advantage.
• You’ll have a good understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and implementation.
• You’ll have experience working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams and managing dependencies with other teams.
• You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload .
